LTFAS
(Life-Time Friends Animal Sanctuary, Inc.) is a non-profit
organization funded solely by donations and run by volunteers, thus
making sure that every dollar goes to the care of stray, abandoned or
abused animals. One of the primary goals is to provide loving
homes for these animals. Yet, we also recognize that there are,
unfortunately, more animals than there are homes for. For those
animals not placed with individual families, we provide life long
shelter and protection in a non caged environment and as much love as
our volunteers and fostering programs can give.
It
is our sincere goal to educate the public that to spay and neuter is a
loving act that prevents hundreds of unwanted animals from a life of
abandonment, misery, starvation, disease and ultimately death.
We work with local veterinarians to provide low cost spay and
neuter clinics along with low cost disease control vaccinations. We
often act as an overflow for the local animal shelter and humane
societies to help them to achieve a no-kill status.
FERAL
FELINE RELOCATION: A feral cat is one that has been born in the wild
or abandoned at a very early age. This cat has never known human
touch or love. One female cat AND her offspring (and theirs and
theirs, etc, etc) can produce approximately 420,000 cats in just
7 years. Though many of these cats can be domesticated,
there are those that never feel comfortable in a home
environment. These lovers of nature's outdoors can still serve a
very useful purpose on surrounding farms and ranches for rodent
control.
We
catch, neuter/spay and return to feral life or shelter as many as we
can get. If you have a farm, barn or property that can support
one or more cats we have a spayed/neutered, wormed and vaccinated
mouse/mole trap for you.
OTHER
SERVICES: Please see "Services
& Calendar" for other services available.
We
know each of our animal friends intimately. Every one of them is
unique with their own personality. Thus, we are able to make an
almost perfect match for someone who wants an addition to their
family. We are happy to help you match an animal to your personality,
your environment and your companionship needs.
We
do not take our animals out for "Adoption Days."
Transporting and caging to showcase animals for adoption can be a
stressful experience for many who have already endured enough.
While a warm lap is our desire for each of our "children" we
will not do so at their expense.
Go
to "Contact Us" to arrange for
your adoption experience.
